Xochiquetzal-Tiqun Academy (Mexican)
Alaska based group began in 2002 to honor and preserve Mexican roots as well as to honor Alaska the place that opened its arms to us. Group is represented by Xochiquetzal, (Flower Feather) Aztec goddess of the flowers, the songs, and the arts and Tiqun, which means "wolf" in the Athabascan Denaina language. The Athabascans are the original Native people of this region of Alaska.
